The original Al’s Italian Beef is located on Taylor Street in Chicago’s famed “Little Italy”. It is still owned and operated by the same family that opened the doors back in 1938. Through offering old world recipes and producing high quality products, Al’s is a dining experience that you won’t soon forget. And throughout all the years, Al’s has been able to successfully maintain the same family heritage of integrity and quality that was originally produced in 1938.

The Italian Beef sandwich is an exciting menu item. The French Dip, South Philly Cheese Steak, or Po’ Boy are vaguely similar in nature, but none compare to an Al’s Italian Beef sandwich. Since its birth in 1938, Al’s has been Chicago’s premiere Italian Beef sandwich maker. Now for the first time, Chicago Franchise Systems, Inc. is proud to offer Al’s Chicago’s #1 Italian Beef Franchise Opportunities throughout selected areas of the country.

There are three prototypes for the Al’s Beef concept and the space required to build a prototype varies anywhere from 1,200 to 8,000 square feet of useable space and the larger units have a drive through feature. The menu remains identical to the original Al’s - offering only the finest, tender, extremely lean, thinly sliced beef deliciously seasoned and slowly oven roasted to perfection. The spices and seasoning used in the preparation of the beef also remain exactly the same, utilizing only the freshest products and avoiding any artificial flavors or coloring so predominant in many of today’s fast food restaurants. Each sandwich continues to be served on fresh Italian Bread, crisp on the outside and soft on the inside. In addition, Al’s serves their incredibly popular original fresh cut French Fries, plump, well spiced Italian sausage, Vienna hot dogs, Polish sausage, salads, wraps, soups, chili, milkshakes and its famous Italian ice.

Al’s is seeking Franchisees who have the drive and desire to own their own Italian Beef and Hot Dog business and understand the importance of protecting the Al’s product and reputation.
